On behalf of our nursery, we are so pleased to announce we will be holding a fundraising event at Paintpots Day Nursery Manchester. This event will take place Saturday 16th March, to raise money to purchase a defibrillator for our setting.
We will be enjoying messy play, planned for by our qualified and experienced staff. Also we will have a bric-a-brac stall for you to browse at your pleasure. Children will enjoy having their face painted and get creative with our crafts area to create their own master pieces. A bouncy castle will be set in our outdoor area to promote staying active. Soft play and floor based activities will be set out too, so there will be a variety for all ages.
All children and families are welcome, we look forward to see our paint potters children and all new faces are welcome.
A defibrillator is a medical device which is used on anybody in the event of a cardiac arrest. Here at Paintpots Manchester, we hope this will never happen, however we want to ensure we are prepared for everything. If CPR and defibrillation are provided within 3-5 minutes of collapse, a victim’s chances of survival can increase from 6% to 74%. Cardiac arrest is a condition which can affect all of us, regardless of age, gender or health – no one is immune.
The safety of children is an essential part of our everyday care. The idea of fundraising for a defibrillator came about when we were doing our paediatric refresher first aid training. We had training on using a defibrillator and recognised it is a priority we cannot ignore. All our staff are first aiders and in the event of an emergency we are happy to say we have the experience and knowledge to ensure the best outcome is approachable, however having a defibrillator on site will increase anybody’s chance.
We look forward to seeing you all there and thank you for your support!
